Arian's Art

Come back Ms. H! We're lost without you! Look how full my locker is! There is absolutely no room for new projects! Get better and come back as soon as possible! We miss you Ms. H!

These are the projects that I made this week, except I think the plate I made last week.. Dont really remember to be honest. But the rest of them I made this week. The two wheel alter pieces were actually accidents, but I really like the way they look. One of I couldn't foot however, so that was unfortunate, but oh well. Oh and my plate failed.. I almost strung through it when I tried to string it off the bat, so its footing is Horrible! Sadly, I'll probably have to throw that one out.. And my tall cup/mug that I made that I absolutely loved broke! The handle broke off! I was so sad! So i just turned it into a tall vase, maybe I can just use is as a cup without a handle or something. Oh well, that why I call it discovery!

Anyways, MidWinter Break this next week so no updates then, but keep up in March and I'm sure you'll get to finally see ALL these projects in their final stages and after they're bisqued and glazed. :)

These are two project that I started this week, the one on the left is a tall cylinder that I'm going to make into a cup tomorrow by adding a thin handle. Monday I sliped and scored on my handles for my two pitchers, and yesterday I threw the cylinder for my cup (left), and footed it today. After footing, I threw the big vase on the right. I really love the shape of this project, and its probably one of the biggest projects I've made, I really like it. Hope it turns out good :)

HEY!

Second semester has officially started! Off to a new start! This semester I have planned to try and really put more effort into my projects and spend some quality time with each and every one of them, instead of just making a project to make it. Hopefully this way I will be able to make some real quality projects! I'm excited to say the least!

These are two pitchers that I made on Wednesday, since the first day of class all the advanced were helping the "newbies" make their first pinch pots, and Tuesday's efforts went unrewarded. I am extremely excited about these two projects, I have been wanting to make some pitchers for awhile. I footed them today, and attempted to make some handles, but to say the least, I SUCK at pulling handles. So Ms. H is going to help me tomorrow to make some good ones that work. Hopefully they turn out good! :) Check out my final projects, and I hope you stick around for the rest of the semester and see what other art pieces I create! Thanks!
