In a quareter review blog please respond to this …

Please describe your efforts towards participation and leadership. Did you take care to clean well? Mention if you were attentive at the beginning of class every day.

Personally I feel like I am adequately involved in paying attention in the beginning of classes, and I always clean at the end of the period, make sure to clean not only just my wheel and tools, but also the counter tops of the throwing room, seeing as that is my assigned cleaning duty.

How often do you use the pass?  Are you on task every day and all period? How social are you versus how much work do you do? How closely do you meet assignment deadlines

I think I have only used the pass maybe once or twice. I am always on task and working on something during class. I have social, but on a respectable level, where I talk to the other students freely, but with respect as to not disrupt their works nor my own. Considering I am a second semester advanced student I do not have any restricted times for due dates, but I always get my project turned in in a timely fashion.

Theme Paragraph:
Throughout this first quarter I have tried to focus my work and attention on creating wheel thrown projects that truly reflect my skills and talents as a new ceramicist. My theme throughout the year is DISCOVERY and I have continued this theme over into my second semester, however, I have refined and narrowed my field of discovery. I have focused a particular amount of attention on trying to create graceful forms with lots of body and shape to them. Along with this I have discovered a love for our new Cobalt Blue Glaze and I am attempting to discover all of the new glaze techniques and colors it can create. Throughout the rest of the semester I hope to spend more time focusing on fewer projects for long lengths of time, as compared to lots of projects in a short period of time, since they usually end up turning into projects that I am not particularly fond of. Anyways, I will continue to discover my various strengths, dislikes, weaknesses, and likes when it come to my art in ceramics this semester.
